In May and June 2015, Lyon will welcome:The 17th World Convention of Rose Societies
A first for France: following Japan (2006), Canada (2009) and South Africa (2012), the World Federation of Rose Societies has chosen Lyon, France, to host the Federation's 17th meeting.
From May 27 to June 1, 2015, 620 participants from 33 countries came to participate in conferences, workshops and encounters. Learn more about:

An extraordinary Rose Festival
The City of Lyon and Tête d'Or Park organized a large popular rose festival on May 30 and 31 for two spellbinding days which will reveal a little-known aspect of the city's cultural heritage. Of course, convention participants will be invited.
Three hundred thousand visitors came for this event organized by city services, cultural institutions, historic sites and all Lyon arrondissements. This festival was the premier of an event which could become a regular occurrence.

Technical and scientific days dedicated to the theme of roses
The following events also took place during the convention:
- On May 29, 2015, a scientific meeting organized by the Société Nationale d'Horticulture de France on the topic of: "The Rose Genome: Results and Perspectives",
- On May 29, a professional day on the reconquest of urban areas by plants: "Policy and Urban Flowering" and "Architecture, Landscape and Rosebushes in the City".
